Garrus (Persian: گروس, also Romanized as Garrūs and Garroos; also known as Gīrow, Gīrū, Karnow, Keruo, and Kerus)[2] is a village in Chelleh Khaneh Rural Districtof Sufian District, Shabestar County, East Azerbaijanprovince, Iran. At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,737 in 481 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 1,903 people in 538 households.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,002 people in 582 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[1]
